Dinner and a Movie #4

This week Nathan and I played Five Questions and only got through three 'cuz we were just a yappin' about movies.  You know.  Plus, our top 4 favorite films of all time, a quick preview of what's coming to theaters this weekend, and something that annoys me way more than it should.

More Decemberists

Two more videos from tonight: Colin Meloy crowd-surfing right by me (this brings up the question, which I had to decide on the fly: Is it better to actually participate in the surfing, or take a video so I can watch it anytime I want later?  Of course I chose the techie introverted route.), and the second encore closing number "June Hymn."  Enjoy...

Decemberists

Trekked out to Merriweather Post Arena this evening to see the Decemberists, and it was every bit as great a show as two summers ago.  I think I liked the music just a bit better last time - I really liked "The Hazards of Love" - but being a few feet from the stage more than made up for it.  Two videos from my Android phone: The Calamity Song and The Rake's Song.

Dinner and a Movie #3

Sorry about the light posting lately...somebody has to get all these orchids harvested for their sweet nectar.  I did find time to record another Dinner and a Movie with Nathan last Thursday.  We go through our top 10 favorite movies of all time, and somehow only get up to #5.  We'll do 1-4 this week.  Anyway, hope you listen below.

Summer Movies, Defending LeBron, and the Top Book of the Last Decade

The second episode of "Dinner and a Movie" is up and ready to listen.  We talk about the definitive book of the Aughts, a bunch of summer movies, and the real possibility that the Miami Heat are going to win a whole bunch of championships.  Plus, Nathan gives a couple of great recommendations for summer movie rentals you probably wouldn't think to make.
