Never play with a snapper. Once while fishing I had the duty of standing by the stringer in the water to guard the fish we caught from snappers. They will eat your fish before you get a chance, too. Personally, if you want to get it across the road, I would just get a long stick and push it from behind. I have other snapping turtle stories from fishing, but I'll spare you.
